Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company. Made from Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

This is the perfect method to welcome a brand new owner of a vehicle.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a firm who takes its aesthetics seriously. It's evident in the precise position of its quilting, the choice of leather sourced from cattle by-products, the wood from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its stunning design is accentuated by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear of the tonneau in the Continental GT, for instance it was the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

bentley bentayga key  is the most sought-after brand in the automotive industry worldwide due to its bespoke design and craftsmanship.  bentley continental gt key fob  continues to push the limits by utilizing the most advanced technology and craft, including the introduction of a digital instrument cluster and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof and a crafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be changed from opaque to transparent with the push of one button.

A century after its creation, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of fighting with BMW it celebrated its centenary in 2019. Before the pandemic planning took center stage, the marque had a range of special events and launches planned to mark this historic occasion.

Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its luxurious and ostentatious cars, but even keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features a large B' symbol to inform everyone that you're driving a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to celebrate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. It features two opposing sets of rear seats inspired by luxury private aviation offering passengers unbeatable comfort and privacy. The customized heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was created to give every passenger the perfect temperature control.

The Mulsanne is equipped with a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredible power is complemented by a revolutionary suspension design that gives Bentley's hushed, quiet ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a unique specification called the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests and seats as well as other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. The Centenary Specification also includes a custom Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons that open the trunk, and another that is used to start the vehicle. It also has a switch to switch on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight spot. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes about two days to create. It is hand cut to shape, sewn sealed and polished to provide a high-quality finish. It is strong compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to that of the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to protect against keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote control key fob and stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that could unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's unique design reflects the values of the company which include exquisite craftsmanship, engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 people work at the Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley cars. These workers apply skills that have been handed through generations to modern automotive technology. This is a characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own car. Guests sit at a series of images referred to as "mood stations" and pick a set of photos - from scenic vistas to sporting events - that can inspire them. After each selection is made, a pattern will emerge which shows the models and colors of the personalized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to guests in a custom-made key case. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the door's opening. They are adorned with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley says it takes roughly 500 man hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. A key to that time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not utilize a machine for arranging perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand.  bentley smart key  must park their cars manually, rather than using the built-in sensors to direct them to parallel and perpendicular spots.

The event also saw Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one of a kind - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars are available in 100. the key with a special design that shows an image of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
